As a mother, I’ve been there: adding anything beyond the normal tasks of everyday life can be daunting, and preparing for a family portrait session sometimes feels like the cherry on top of the chaos you’re holding together.
The Elle Luke Photography experience leads you from inquiry to your session and beyond through clear communication so you can anticipate every step of the way. I am a HUGE planner myself, and I want to make sure there are no surprises from start to finish. From the styling suggestions included in your welcome guide to a list of recommended locations and more, the ELP experience is designed to help mommas enjoy dressing up and playfully engaging with your family!
As a motherhood photographer, I am committed to helping my fellow mommas have a family portrait experience that feels like a fun family outing. You deserve to have tangible evidence of the love you pour into your children every day, and getting that “proof of mom” in a way that you love can be difficult unless you set aside time for it. I want to capture you in your element as you playfully and lovingly interact with your children. When my little one was just a handful of months old, I realized that I had very, very few pictures of myself with her, and it absolutely broke my heart because she had already grown so much. Since then, I try to intentionally capture some of the moments we spend together, and the professional photos I have of my little family are something I hold so closely to my heart.
Fill out my online contact form to initiate the process. Once I receive your inquiry, I will give you a call to share details about the ELP process and learn more about your vision for your session.
After your session, I will finalize your chosen images. This includes a master retouch, where I will fine-tune each chosen image, including removing distractions, blemishes, flyaway hairs, and make sure the images is as perfect as possible. As soon as those final edits are complete, I will send a gallery link for digital downloads, and will order your prints and products from the professional print lab I have access to.
After your session, I will cull the photos to include all of the best ones, and lightly edit your photos for a proofing gallery. We will meet either in person or over a video call, and you will have the opportunity to see the whole gallery. During this meeting, we will go through each of the images and select your favorites that speak most to your heart.
We will also finalize any product purchases you would like to make during this appointment. Every product ordered comes with the matching digital file.
During the week before your session, you will receive my “Week of The Session” guide, which includes tips and tricks for families with littles, tips for wardrobe prep, and what to expect during your session. During the session, I will prompt your family through different actions and poses and encourage you to interact with one another. This will be a time for you to focus on one another and enjoy the love you share.
Once you are officially booked, I will send you my Welcome Email, which includes detailed notes of the things we discussed during the design consultation, as well as a link to my studio menu, The ELP Style Guide, and any sample photos of locations you expressed interest in. This email is primarily to give you a reference as we will have discussed a lot of information during the design consultation.
If a client is ready to move forward, we schedule a design consultation, where we will discuss outfits, your vision, location options, and the products I offer. This is also typically where clients book a specific date, pay the creative fee, and sign the contract.
